Julian s arts award

Julian Salmon-My Bronze Arts Award Blogsite

This is a serious photo of me thinking hard about having my photo taken?!

Here I am at the Hub Club I come to CB9media hub club to learn more about computers, media and taking photos. I am learning about mac applications such as photobooth, i movie and an internet Blogsite. I come to hub club because the people here are creative and friendly.
I am taking my arts award and have taken short video clips and photographs to upload for a vj event.

I am going to keep this BLOG for my evidence.

The Arts award
part A -take part in an arts activity

I will be learning how to make a BLOG, how to upload text, photographs and videos onto the CB9mediahubclub Blog site called Blogger.com

I will be uploading photographs th
at I have taken and selected using a digital camera from the Hubclub. I want to learn how to use depth of field to improve my photographs

I will make video logs called a VLOG using photobooth on the mac. I will also add some video footage of my workshop using the screen capture in Quick Time on the mac.

The Hub Club group set up cameras and took photographs of individuals. Lizzie, one of the members of the Hub Club for her arts award apprenticeship was showing us all how to use a digital manipulation programme called Piknic on the web. She showed us how to add text font and colour changes to my photo and I explained why I attended media hub and the things that you can learn and then i uploaded the photo to this blog.

My photography
Here are a few examples of photos I took at school for my arts award, focusing on depth of field framing and angles, in the conference room in Samuel Ward school.
Learning Tips:
"Depth of field increases with distance. The further you place the camera from your subject, the
more depth of field you can obtain. Landscapes have great depth of field, while macro photographs tend to have very little depth of field because the subject is so close to the lens." http://www.mir.com.my/rb/photography/fototech/htmls/depth.html

MY Inspiration:
part c- Arts Heros and Heroines

Manfred Man
I really like the music from the 60's and my favourite band from this time is Manfred Mann. The best song that they wrote is ".Do wah diddy...."

Manfred Man had..five.. band members who playedThe Mann-Hugg Blues BrothersLondon[3] in December 1962 by keyboard player Manfred Mann and drummer/vibes player Mike Hugg (as the band were originally called) were formed in
manfred man were formed in ..
lso known as Mann-Hugg Blues Brothers
Origin London, England
Genres Beat, R&B
Years active 1962-1969
Labels HMV, EMI, Capitol, Ascot (US), Fontana, Mercury (US)
Associated acts Manfred Mann Chapter Three
Manfred Mann's Earth Band
The Blues Band
The Manfreds

Here is a song that I have uploaded. Hope you enjoy it!

I like the song in this video as it makes me imagine the images in the song as it his played and the old clothes as it is set in the 1960's

I have found out that the band reformed in 1991 after being split for a couple of years.
http://www.manfredmann.co.uk/

Original Manfred Mann members Paul Jones, Mike Hugg and Tom McGuinness , and former member Mike d’Abo,
are joined by Rob Townsend, Marcus Cliffe and Simon Currie as the exciting new line-up of The Manfreds, featuring BOTH lead singers from the 1960’s band.
Since The Manfreds re-formed in 1991, they have been in constant demand throughout the World…understandably considering
the number of top ten hits they had, not only with The Manfreds, but also individually.

My VLOG workshop
part d-arts apprenticeship

Here are the instructions for my workshop:

Here is a picture taken showing me giving a workshop about Blogging. I am showing a Hub Club member how to load up a photograph.
