VJ project feb 09

Vjing at the Haverhill Rock Competition Finals (28th Febuary 2009): By Aaron Williams

Setting up was the first thing that me and Andrew had to do when we arrived. From 2pm till aprox 7pm we had to set up the Vjing equiptment, which consisted of two TV’s, a apple mac, a I Mac and a Edirol mixer. The when we came to trying to set up the videoing equipment we found out that we didn’t have the connectors for the wires as michelle had them and she wasn’t arriving until 7pm which was too late so we then had to go roud town going into shops to find them but we couldnt so we improvised. We used normal wires for a TV. After that we had another problem as we couldn’t find the power packs for the camcorders so we ended up having two camcorders one which was powered by electricity, another that was battery powered and i suggested to use a stills camera on movie mode. We connected the two TV’s up to the mixer and we had one TV with the live feed and the other with the cameras and the computers. With everything up and running we started at aprox 7.30pm andd every thing went to plan we had worked out a rota for every one when they turned up and the night finnished at about 11pm with half an hour of packing away

Instructions - How To Animate your Pumpkin

In the Hub Clubs Mad Scary Pumpkin-Amation workshop we discovered how to make our pumpkins move in a Mad Scary way!!!!

First of all we had to cut our pumpkins lids out..
The we got really messy scooping out all the pulp and seeds and stringy bits. We had to keep on scooping until our pumpkins were smooth on the inside. WE all got really into this!!

We had a look at some other pumpkin animations on You Tube to get inspiration. Some of them were pure evil - the pumpkins had knives and were being sick pumpkin monster mush. Gruesome!!!!!

Next we did our designs and we drew pictures of what we wanted our pumpkins to look like- some were evil and some were scary!!!

After we had our pumpkins and started taking photos of our differefont designs onto the pumpkins- we used the camera to take diiferent examples of our pumpkin designs to make them look very scary!- we added cloth to make hair and the monster mush inside to make it look as if the pumpkin is being sick. we also added screwed up foil and put it into the eyes, nose and mouth

finally we tidied up and cleared our mess away.
